1:
Welcome to
Las Vegas, the world-renowned city of lights, shows,
gambling, world class shopping, and more. Meet in
Las Vegas at dinner where we will be staying in a hotel
on the famous strip. |

Day 2:
Drive to Bryce Canyon
National Park. On the way, visit
to unique red colored Valley of Fire State Park with
its petroglyphs and marvelous sculpted sandstone
cliffs. Continue on to Red Rock Canyon for an
evening hike, before driving to comfortable cabins
near Bryce Canyon. |

Day 3:
Explore Bryce
Canyon: stop at visitor center, drive and walk
along the scenic rim trails, and for those more adventurous
types hike through the deep canyons of Bryce. |

4:
Drive down beautiful highway 12. Stop at Kodachrome
Basin State Park, with walk to fossilized tree
trunks. Afternoon hike to Lower Calf Creek Falls
with possible swim. Night in Torrey. |

Day 5:
Explore Capitol Reef
National Park and Goblin Valley State Park on foot.
Stop at Sego Canyon for petroglyphs on drive to Moab, Utah
for 2 nights.

Day 6:
Morning in Moab, a city
of native art galleries, possibly whitewater
adventures, mineral and rock shops, restaurants and
more. Today's highlight is
Arches National Park by car and on foot. Optional dinner
entertainment available at an authentic Chuck Wagon event. |

Day 7: In
the morning we will visit Canyonlands National Park
overlooking the Colorado River Plateau, where the
Green and Colorado Rivers meet. On to the
Wild West town of Durango, Colorado, where we stay
for 2 nights. |

Day 8: Main
attractions are the cities of Durango and Silverton.
An optional ride on the Durango & Silverton
train is Highly recommended, which was used in 1882 to transport silver and
gold from the San Juan mountains. Afternoon
leisurely swim at nearby hot
springs. |

Day 9: Visit
the ancient dwellings of Native Americans at Mesa
Verde National Monument. Stop at the
Four-Corners-Monument for pictures and great-priced
Native American art and fry bread. |
