As flames leap in fireplaces, frost graces lawns and days grow shorter families throughout the USA are preparing for the national holiday of Thanksgiving. This celebration of unity, reconciliation of differences and sharing of traditions is particularly important in a year where politics have pushed us apart. The true origins of Thanksgiving have been widely debated (it’s believed that the “first Thanksgiving” was celebrated by Native Americans and Pilgrims in 1621 as they shared a meal together) but we all agree that this is a time to give thanks for all the goodness in our lives!
At Travel Dream West we want to take a moment to thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our many National treasures with you, and we hope that you too have many things to be thankful for this holiday season.
