Our California winter tour offers a unique winter vacation as you travel with a small group along the California coastline and on to Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Experience the tranquility of snowy winter landscapes and deserted beaches in famous locations, all without the crowds of summer. You will have the option to snowshoe, cross country ski, hike or just enjoy the varied landscapes on spectacular drives.
These winter California National Park tours offer a combination of adventure and comfort. Stay in cozy lodges and hotels while spending the days out and about exploring. Opportunities for wildlife viewing abound as animals come down from higher elevations to seek food. The parks are home to many different birds, deer, bear, bobcats and coyotes, many of which can be best spotted during the winter. Along the coast it is elephant seal breeding season and you have the chance to watch the playful antics up close on a guided nature walk.
We spend two nights in Yosemite National Park, and two nights in Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park.
